This Italian Restaurant is the greatest I've ever eaten in. The service was phenomenal and I'd return again FOR SURE. Just give me a fork, and I'll walk over there myself. I ordered the Goat cheese with japanese bread crumbs over a delicious bed of greens with a balsamic vinegarette, portabello mushrooms, and walnuts. My friend ordered the chicken ceasar sandwich which was also very very delicious. Delicious is actually an understatement. I come from an Italian family, and I live in New York, close to Brooklyn, so I KNOW italian cuisine, and THIS IS IT right in the heart of Sarasota.
It has a wonderful ambiance, inside and out, and the restaurant is adorned with vintage posters from mobster movies, and some great film stars of our time. There are autographed photos, original one of a kind paintings that are done by great artists. The beautiful Sarasota Palm Avenue is a great location for this restaurant, because when you're sitting outside in Caragiulo's covered patio, you can enjoy a view of the beautiful street.
This is the best Italian restaurant I've ever been to, and I plan on stopping in at the Bradenton location on Cortez road very soon.
If you are in Sarasota, you must must must come into Caragiulo's at least for lunch. Enjoy!
