I live just down the street. My daughter and I very much enjoy eating there. The dipping sauce is very unique and one of the best. Our favorite dinner is the Trout served over a bed of Spanish. The staff is always very friendly and pleasant. A unique dining experience

Luckily, the evening specials usually include the Filet Portobello. I nearly always have it, my 10 year old daughter loves to share it; my 8 year old son has most of it - so I have to pig out on the calamari, the house salad and the bread - oh, and the rosemary sprig from the garden !! Happy service, but - without taking away from antbody else - I must mention Mike, because he usually serves us very attentively at lunch time, when one of the excellent chicken dishes is our usual fare.
Just go to see the Red Mesa people about the wine list, Frank....
Otherwise, we love you.

My husband and I like the food at Cafe Cibo. They have a special dipping sauce for the bread that is very unique. It tastes like a creamy tomato sauce with fresh basil.
We went there on an uncrowded Thursday night. There were only two tables that were being served when we arrived. Since the place is small, some of the tables are not very desirable, and the 2-tops are around the wall, with a couple of them along the back window. Although the restaurant was almost empty, we were seated in the very back of the restaurant, along the wall, with a view of the restrooms. We decided to move to the window side next to the far wall, but in the same section. The waitress came up and asked if we would like to order a glass of wine. I replied that I would like water for now, and my husband ordered water. She promptly snatched the wine list away and walked off.
I enjoy a good glass of wine with my meal, but in order to order the wine, I must first select my meal. I simply do not understand why she would have taken away the wine list. She obviously did not know anything about having wine with dinner.
She brought our waters. My husband and I were having a hard time with the menu since there are a number of fantastic choices. It took us a long time to decide, but we were finally ready. We planned to order the calamari, that was a no brainer, but she never came back to ask if we would like an appetizer. We waited. We waited some more. Then, I told my husband that I could see her reflection in the window so I knew she was not busy. He got up from the table and attempted to make eye contact with the staff that was sitting at the bar by the front entrance.
He sat back down. I decided to give her a few more minutes. We waited some more and then got up and left. The people at the bar (employees) we so oblivious that they smiled and told us to have a good night as we went by. We planned to have a good night, but did not actually have a good night until we found a lower quality but excellent service Italian restaurant down the street. I really wanted the food at Cibo, but settled for cheaper fare and excellent service. Too bad for Cibo. I really liked the food.

The food was excellant. We sat outside on the patio and there was italian music playing. We enjoyed a bottle of Chianti and dined on mussels, Chicken Caccitore, and not to mention the delicious, warm, fresh baked bread and secret recipe dipping sauce. YUMMY. I recommend Cafe Cibo highly and not to mention the service was excellant ask for Mike.
