My family and I went to michaels family restaurant the day after christmas to celebrate christmas with in laws. it was my first time being there and the food and service was great. i can't wait till i can go back for more sweet potato chips. the waitress was a little busy with othere tables but made sure we where ok. shes not wonder women and can't perform miracles. and we tip the waitress 30% of our bill cause we understand waitressing can be very difficult sometimes and they try to do their best.

It was easy to tell who were the regulars and which patrons were new. The servers spent an inordinate amount of time visiting with the regular customers while ignoring the other customers. "Sorry, your not my table" should be one of many phrases that is never used by a server, waitress or waiter in a restaurant. The counter personnel at fast food restaurants are more friendly and customer oriented then the staff at Michaels.

I am a widow and can not often go out to dinner. Recentley I went to Michael's with family and after signing the credit slip I realized by money purse had fallen out of my pocketbook. I proceeded to head to my car for the tip when the waitress yelled after me "An $80 check and no tip!" Despite my embarrassment, I went to the car and retrieved the tip, to the stares of all the other patrons. The manager witnessed all of this and neither she nor the waitress apologized. The next day when I tried to reach the Owners the manager would not put the call thru and tolds me that I was not welcome at the restaurant. Maybe the Owners will hear about the problem here!
