My family and I eat at Blue Fin all the time and love it! The food is great and so is the manager. He is super friendly and always has great suggestions for new rolls to try. The food is always very fresh and we leave there feeling great. I would definitely recommed this restraunt to anyone!

IF YOU WANT TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE THEN EAT AT BLUEFIN IN SIMI VALLEY. MY HUSBAND AND I RECEIVED A GIFT CARD TO BLUEFIN FOR X-MAS AND WERE THEN UNABLE TO REDEEM IT. THE FIRST TIME WE TRIED THEY SAID THE MANAGER WASN'T THERE AND HE WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO COULD TENDER THE CARD. THE SECOND TIME WE CALLED FIRST AND THEY SAID IT WAS UNDER NEW MGMT. AND THE GIFT CARD COULD NOT BE REDEEMED. THE MANAGER WAS EXTREMELY RUDE ON THE PHONE AND STARTED THROWING "F" BOMBS. TOTALLY UNPROFRESSIONAL AND WE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY GOING THERE, IF YOU WANT GOOD SUSHI GO TO "02" NEAR MACARONI GRILL!!!!!!!!!!

The owner is always there & very friendly. If you EVER have a problem he WILL take care of it. The hand rolls are wonderful, you will not find a bigger hand roll ANYWHERE. The best yet. Salads are good too. Not just in SIMI. I travel from West Hills to eat here & the Sushi chefs are awesome too! They wait on you & take care of you. I will continue to sit at the sushi bar & have birthday dinners here as long as they are open & this owner is here.

Exceptional service, wondeful food written by anonymous

We have had the pleasure of dining in and taking out meals at Blue Fin for at least 2 years. WE have never been disappointed and the owner who is always in attendance runs a tight ship.
At first glance he may appear a bit gruff but he is gentleman and a true professional.
We have lived in Simi for 35 years and I don't know of many in town that can match them.
Their salads and the baby ribs are to die for. Our kids love their Sushi and the ladies who wait on us are as charming as we have found in town.

Simi Valley's Best Restaurant written by jinkies68

My son and I frequent Blue Fin and it's the best restaurant in Simi Valley. They have excellent sushi and interesting rolls plus an extensive menu featuring pastas, cooked fish, steak, chicken, children's dishes, etc. There is truly something for everyone. The other reviews that I read forced me to want to write this. The owner is extremely nice and never rude. The staff that has worked there for a long period of time is excellent. We are always served fresh food, served promptly, checked on, etc. Perhaps some of the other reviewers went on an extremely crowded night or are used to the ridiculous number or fast food and chain restaurants that Simi Valley has to offer. If you want excellent food, a warm environment, (especially for those that become regulars...) and something a little different, you should really try it. Many of my friends that I have told about the restaurant have become frequent customers.

We called ahead ~ 30 minutes for take out. We only ordered miso soup, California rolls, and a salad. The man was VERY rude on the phone. Then when we got there, it was almost as if we offended him by ordering takeout. He took our money, but neglected to tell us there would still be a wait for our food. After an additional 15 minutes of being walked around and pretty much ignored, we asked about our food and he told us to wait outside and that our food would be ready later. It took probably another 20 minutes before our food was finally ready. After an HOUR wait for a very simple order, the food was actually pretty good. But because of the arrogant service, we may not go back. I was VERY disappointed!

The Blue Fin Sushi bar is a very impressive restuarant with large sized protions at a very reasonable price. What impressed me the most was not only the quality of Sushi, but also the extensive non fish menu. The service is good, however I can see in the above review with talking to friends because their are many regulars at this restuarant (for obvious reasons). Great food Great prices. Simi Valley's Finest

First our waitress sat us down at some table quickly because her friends had just walked in and she wanted to talk to them. Then she takes my fiance's order and then walks away without even letting me finish! She comes back takes my order after giving us some hard stale rolls. I ask her for a glass of water to accompany my glass of wine. She was not very attentive and was more interested in getting us out of the restaurant. To top the evening off she gave her self a $7.50 tip on top of what I had initially given her on the credit card slip! Not only was she a horrible waitress but she stole from us too!
