If you are looking for a restaurant where you will feel comfortable, order delicious food, and get great service, then BEACHES in California’s Manhattan Beach is not the right place for you. If you are looking for a mediocre restaurant that is run by a despicably behaved young manager, with rude waitresses and a bunch of loud college students playing drinking games in close proximity to where you are trying to enjoy your banal meal, then I strongly recommend that you search for BEACHES in Manhattan Beach and stop reading this review.
The nationally known saying “The customer is always right” obviously applies to everyone except this restaurant. My experience here was a complete and utter disaster beginning with my inimical waitress who at first tried to deny me my meal. Her apathetic kindness was an unsuccessful cover-up for her supercilious demeanor. When it came time to pay, there was some confusion, over which I called for the manager. I was blown away when this so-called “manager” started an absurd fracas over the problem. Instead of helping the situation by being polite and coming to a reasonable conclusion, the manager further exacerbated the situation with his inappropriate and contentious conduct. He had no idea what to do about the issue, became very tense and angry, gave us all a taste of what he thought by using vulgar vocabulary and insults, and then left.
A regular restaurant-goer, I can confidently say that this is unimpeachably the worst restaurant that I have ever been to. From the inimical waitress to the fiasco fueled by the irresponsible and insolent manager, this restaurant deserves no more than two stars. Three if one is feeling extremely generous. The horrific conduct of the staff, in particular the crass manager, made my dining experience terrible and made BEACHES in Manhattan Beach a restaurant that I would never again visit.

Although the restaurant is never really crowded, it takes awhile to get seated since the hostess is never really at the front of the restaurant...
