i have walked here twice to get food nad both times have been dissapointed. the first thing was the service. now, it may have been that i was a carry-out and they are very busy with their dine-in customers. but i find that a very poor excuse. a customer is a customer, whether they are staying or not. it seemed they were impatient, brisque and flakey when it came to serving me. as if i were teh last thing they wanted to deal with. the first time i went there,i ahd a salad to go. i forget which one, but i was unimpressed. it was ok. but for the price i paid, i left wanting better service and more food. but mostly better service.call me crazy.
the second time i went there i knew what to expect on serice so i mentally prepared myself. i ordered the eggs florentine to-go and waited patiently.i will say this, both times they were quick. when i got home less than five minutes after recieving my food, my eggs were cold. not refrigerator cold, but cold enough that i put them in my own oven to heat them up. the bernaise sauce was dull, though the eggs were poached just right. the englich muffins didn't seem to be toasted at all, even after i put them in my own oven. now i live close so i walked there. and i know there was no way of them knowing i walked there instread of driving. but that shouldnt matter when it comes to preparing hot food for carry out. my eggs should NOT have been cold when i got home. it wasn't that cold outside- it was easter sunday. i expect my carry out food to be heated too the point that even with a cooling down time of getting home, my food will still be warm. if this is how quickly the food gets cold walking, i can't imagine my food staying warm over a 30 minute meal. in the end i still felt like i had paid too much.
