We used to enjoy the Albatross Restaurant in Chico. Tonight we went to celebrate my birthday. What a disappointment! We had reservations for the six of us. We were seated promptly, ordered drinks, and waited a full 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive at our table. At that point, our server asked us if we were ready to order or if we needed a little more time. More than 30 minutes? My daughter and I ordered the ribeye steak on the menu, but we were served New Yorks steaks. My daughter pointed this out to our server, who just replied with a "Hmmm." He came back a few minutes later and explained that they were out of ribeye steaks and gave us New Yorks instead...and really bad New Yorks at that. We took a couple of bites and couldn't finish them. At no time did they offer to replace our meals, but our server did say he felt bad about this and wanted to offer us dessert. So they brought us two desserts and six forks for the six of us. We had to order two more desserts so that there would be enough for six people. We'll stick with 5th Street Steakhouse in the future.
