i dream about this place... the smells... the naan...i drive an hour and a half just to go here for dinner... the owner couldn't be nicer as is his whole staff... your water or tea glass never go empty... and the food is to die for... i've tried almost everything on the menu at some point or another and my favorites are still chicken saagwalla and the onion stuffed bread... i've had many diffrent mint chutneys and theirs is the best... this is my favorite place to eat in all of arkansas...

Although The Star of India is well meaning, I am not very impressed with the cuisine. The food is comparable to that of would be "Tex-Mex" Indian food; basically Americanized Indian dishes.
This is unfortunate as many Arkansans have not had the opportunity to taste authentic Indian food and may judge their Indian food experience by a meal at Star.
Indian food really is delicious; it's somewhat of a small glimpse into a culture that can only be known as that of India.
Good Luck! Keep Trying!

I took my friends and family just to eat there, and it was great. Their service is excellent from any other restaurant that we have ever been. We had chicken tikka masala, lamb biryani, garlic naan, and spinach naan, which was all delicious and excellent. Next time I plan to go there to eat, I will be taking my friends from the company that I work. They are always busy, which is even more fun.
" I also know the people who own the restaurant, Sam is a bit odd but he sure cooks up some good... "

" The Onion Kulcha bread is scrumptious, but when combined with the Saag Paneer, tender chunks of homemade cheese in lightly-seasoned creamed spinach, it is sheer heaven... "
