As a vegetarian who works very close to this downtown establishment I can always count on Byblos for a satisfying lunch at a great price. I get take-out at least once, if not three time a week here, but there is indoor seating as well (and outdoors in the summer). Byblos has many tried and trusted middle eastern preparations on offer including roasted eggplant, cauliflower, mujadara, and some of the best falafel around. If you are a tabbouleh fan Byblos' is second to none. Daily specials broaden the options with grape leaves, green bean stew, and a spicy lentil and rice soup. The staff (all of which seem to be family) is always courteous and friendly.

Just in case you are not a vegetarian, no worries! My coworkers rave about the shish tawook and kofta. There are plenty of other choices as well.

Byblos is a great venue for an inexpensive and delicious lunch.
