My open letter to guthrie's management
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service received at the Guthrie’s location on Montgomery Highway in Vestavia Hills, AL.
I came in at 12:17 (according to my receipt) and ordered a plate to go. I understand the food is cooked to order so I did not mind waiting for it. After 20 minutes the young lady who took my order came over to apologize for the delay but that it was being prepared. I was sitting by myself at the closest table to the counter with the letter “S” attached to a metal pole. At this point at least 8 people who came in after me had been served. I waited for ten more minutes (for a total of half an hour) but at this point I needed to return to my office.
Working tech support for a software company I am on a stringent schedule and do not have the luxury of taking a long lunch. When I approached the counter to ask about my order I had learned that the order had been lost. At this point I asked for a refund and left.
I do not believe there is anything you can do to rectify this situation. You have lost a customer forever. I lost my entire lunch break and still have not had a chance to eat. I have already voiced my experience to a number of coworkers (three of which were just finishing their meal at the location as I came in).
If you intend to stay in business mishaps such as this can not occur. -
Soup Nazi in Hoover!
We went for lunch today and while trying to eat, the manager started vacuuming the store, kicking up dust and debris in my food. When I asked who I needed to call to have them stop, the Assistant Manager told me I could leave it I didn't like it, or she would just kick me out of the restaurant.

Gotta Have It
Its the only reason I visit my inlaws in Tuscaloosa/Northport! Nobody knows it but my husband. We all love it so much, we'd like to open one here in Dallas!
The chicken, is so fresh and hot! And the TEA is just wonderful. It is truly a taste of southern splendor! -
Not Worth It...
I had heard a lot about Guthries. I decided to stop in and get a carry out. After I had placed my order, I saw it sitting on the counter for 10 minutes before it was given to me. I complained about it, but to no avail. The reason given, was that the person who took my order took a break and wasn't there to give me my food. Then when I got home, my five pieces of chicken tenders, were small, and nothing but little nuggets. I noticed a young gentleman in the restuarant, flirting with the guys behind the counter, and of course he had a mound full of chicken on his plate. I don't know if it was because of friendship or what, but he had tons of food, and I had enough to compare to a mcdonald's happy meal.
Needless to say that will be my last visit to that resturant.
The one in Columbus Georgia, is worse than this. -

Gutheries is a wonderful resturant i wish the company would open one in tampa florida. i lived in alabama for a long time and had it down the street from me . I moved away and there was no gutheries i was very upset, but i was hoping in this e-mail that someone would really take note that you really, really need to open a store here. thanks for your time. PLEASE I LOVE GUTHERIES.
