I live in Grandview, a wonderful neighborhood here in Columbus, where we walk alot, ride our bikes, and stroll with our family pets. DK Diner is has come to be another ordinary gathering spot for many of us locals. I live so close and started having breakfast at the DK because my son, Jimmy who is 11 years old, enjoyed the large flat screen t.v's and the sports talk that was happening. Early morning risers stop in and enjoy meeting their neighbors and friends over coffe, doughnuts and a variety of breakfast foods. My son likes to order chili even in the morning, he's just that way, and since the DK also has great lunch selections, he could get his chili and his eggs and bacon. I like the tuna melts for lunch and meeting others who have been in the community for many years. The DK is a relaxing and energetic enviroment; both equally at the same time. Rare I suppose, because many places are either so relaxing or so energetic...you know what I mean? Yet, the Dk is an ordinary gathering place for people young, children, and retirees. For some way the DK attracts all community and has options that satisfy these tastes. On the weekends, people walk down with their families and or pets and enjoy dining in, chating with outhers outside on the patio, or simple hello's while the get their selections and carry them back home to enjoy with their families. It's real community and real food; right here in Grandview.
