My partner Wayne and I live near El Cazador, so we went there the first week it was open. They were extremely friendly and provided great service then and ever since. After a few visits they greet you like family and offer you every courtesy. We eat there at least one or two times a week so we are beginning to feel like we have salsa in our veins!
The foood is consistently delicious. They do a great job with traditional, familiar Mexican dishes, but they also have some items you don't get other places. They offer both shredded and ground beef, chicken, pork, and shrimp. The shrimp are especially good - always fresh and served generously. The Los Compadres platter is my favorite; it includes 2 chile rellenos absolutly packed with shrimp and cheese! Their guacamole is so good that we have many times stopped by and gotten a large order with fresh, warm chips to take to parties. And the prices are extremely reasonable. Did I mention the Margaritas? Ole!
They also do take out orders and if you call ahead they will have your food ready to pick up. There is a party room in back, too. They are located right across Montclair Road from Bruno's and there is plenty of parking.
