    Great for birthday dinner!

WE took our nephew to Finley's for his birthday dinner, and both the food and service were great. He substituted a more expensive dinner for only $2 more and he was very pleased. We both had steak dinners and thought the quality was very good. The wait staff was friendly and responsive. Overall, a very good experience.

I eat out regularly and prefer Finleys. The food is always good and I take friends there often. You should try the Salmon. The Hamburger are always excellant. I am hoping that they go non smoking soon, but usually its not a problem.

    Im Disgusted!

I have gone to this particular one on Cedar st now a handful of times and each time I walk through the door I am DISGUSTED at how the hostess is dresses. They can wear what ever they want and the hostesses wear tight, VERY low cut tops. This las t time I went in March the Hostess bent down when my husband and I approached the hostess stand and I could see right down her shirt. THIS IS NO AMERICAN FAMILY PLACE TO EAT. When management obviously doesn't care how professional their buisness looks then I believe it is not worth investing my money to eat there. If I wanted to go to a place where workers are dressed like that I would have went to Hooters!

I'm sorry the previous reveiwers had bad experiences. I don't eat out much, but when I do, Finley's is in the top three places I want to go for casual dining. They're waitstaff is very polite and accomodating, and they don't bat an eye when you have special instructions for your food. (I'm very picky about how my food is prepared, and I've never had to send anything back.) The prices are reasonable, and while I agree that the place can be a little smokey when it's busy, if you ask for a table near the fron of the restaraunt (the smoking section is in the back), that's pretty much taken care of.

    Free Birthday Dinner

My son's birthday was June 28th so we went there. When we got to the restaurant we were told by our waitress that since he is 10 years old he can't have a FREE birthday dinner. What a load of crap!! The only reason we went is because he seen their signs advertising the free dinner with the steak with the candle in it. Also there was a couple sitting next to us and they both had the same birthday their waitress said "only 1 birthday dinner per table." They had identifacation with them to prove it was true. That was upsetting to hear. We will NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN.

I am not impressed by Finleys. This was my first visit. The manager was shocked that I had never been there, and was very friendly. The place was smokey and the booths were not very private. There was so much salt in the food; I was swollen for three days; so processed. Not my style. Soup would have been better out of a can; I should have gone to the Meijers salad bar and made my own salad. Just not a great chain idea.
