We've tried this place 3 times and each time the order was wrong. By the time we got home the 3rd time we were in no mood to go back (which they seem to think you should have to do) to get the right drive-through order. So I called. The first person who answered the phone LIED...I asked for the manager, he said, Just a minute ... and then came back on without even trying to disguise his voice! When I told him I recognized his voice he said, Well, the manager is busy. I finally got to talk to someone else. She said they're busy training --- but the service hasn't changed in over a year. Guess they've been training all that time. NO apology no assurance of making things right...just FO&D from her. I'd say -- never ever make the mistake of going to Popeye's in Anchorage!
Amazing to see such successful importing of the New Orleans service attitude! This isn't southern hospitality, believe me. Could the order-taker have been any less interested? Only if she was asleep. The lack of interest probably came in handy when filling the order all wrong. A half-filled side container, sloppily wiped clean and mostly unlidded, a mistake in the two baskets so that each contained one spicy and one mild chicken part although no mild was ordered, a mistake in the drinks order...none of these made the slightest impression on the server. She shrugged it off, literally! The food here isn't bad and for a biscuit fix you cannot go wrong, but be prepared to wait, wait, wait -- and then, check your order!
