This is my neighborhood restaurant so we go often. It gets crazy crowded between 6 and 9, so a wait is to be expected. Don't ever turn down the garlic fries. The cheeseburger's probably the best in Anchorage. They keep retiring my favorite dishes: the chicken tamale with pine nuts is gone, the lovely pork empanadas are history and I mourn them every visit. There's plenty to pick from, even so. The rack of lamb is always perfect and the salmon specials are always good, too. The jalapeno poppers are NOT for the faint of heart. There's a good selection of desserts - but I think my favorite ancho chili brownie has also been retired. If not, it's worth the calories. And go for the first tap special beer. Or the amber. Or maybe the individual bottle of sparkling wine...
