Love This Pizza written by CurlyCue

Litle out of the way place is easy to miss. But DON'T!
It's set back in a strip shopping center and a little hard to find but you will be glad when you do. The food here is incredible.
The pizza, pasta and even BBQ ribs are excellent.
Try the full pound grilled burger some time. That's a meal and at 5.95 a great deal too!

Our Secret Spot written by CatherineC

Cute little Italian restaurant in Barrington on Route 14.
Very small dining area but cute and comfortable. Great food.
No real waitress since it's small but the food is wonderful.
We bring our own wine as no liquor license. It's our secret spot to have a casual, delicious Italian meal.

Excellent Thin & Stuffed Pizza written by TheSicilian
Last visited this restaurant on April 25, 2007

Heard from the neighbors about Primo about a year ago.
I never even knew it was there. It's a small place on Route 14 in Barrington south of Main St. The neighbors said try the great thin crust pizza. They read about it in the Chicago Tribune. I did and it was outstanding. This is a pizzeria like the old time places in the city, not your typical chain restaurant. The food is excellent. I will say the wait is sometimes a bit long because their menu says everything is made to order fresh. Other than the wait time though, it's an outstanding place that seems to fly unnoticed under the rasdar. I'm glad we found it.

Great Pizza written by JohnWallbrenner

Loved the crisp thin crust pizza served here. The crust was light and crunchy, good sauce, the cheese was very tasty-they say its a mix of different italian cheese and very good sausage. The dining area is pretty small- only 3 or 4 tables i think. No real regular waitress on duty but the food was great. Its mostly a delivery and pickup place.

Cheap Catering was Great written by JudyFoley

I was having a birthday party and needed catering for 50 people. A friend told us about primo. We went in and tried the pizza and pasta.both were excellent so we decided to give the catering a try. They had complete catering from 4.95. We opted for the plan that included chicken picata. It was outstanding. We had rave reviews from our guests. And the price per person of 7.95 for everyting including the chicken picata was very fair. I will use them again. They also delivered to my home in Arlington Heights in their truck which really made it simple. Thank you to the Parisi family.

Best Thin Crust In Chicago written by JoeyD
Last visited this restaurant on December 29, 2005

I overheard two guys talking on the train about this pizza place. I live in Crystal Lake but decided to drive to Barrington after work to try it. It was outstanding and I now make the drive at least once a week for the thin crust pizza. I've tried all the big places and this small place makes the best pizza in Chicago. Give it a try.Very good BBQ ribs and pork sandwich too.

Worth the Wait written by ilove2eat

Very good thin crust pizza which is what they are famous for. My only complaint is delivery tales about an hour. They make everthing fresh which I guess why it takes longer but its worth waiting for.I recommend you try the primo special. one thing kinda interesting is that you can get thin crust in two different styles with two different type of sauces. Both are good. One is spicier than the other though.

Excellent Thin Crust Pizza. written by JimCalabrese

My neighbor said I had to try this place. He was right. Exceptional thin crust as my neighbor said but I also like the stuffed pizza. My wife loves the deep dish and the gourmet pizzas like- italian beef pizza and gyros pizza. The ribs are to die for. They say everything is homemade which i believe but expect to wait a while as they always seem to be busy.
Very pleasant help.

Superior Thin Crust Pie written by DanielMichael

"Superior Thin Crust Pie" is what the Chicago Tribune said about Primo Pizza, I do want to correct the telephone number. The correct phone number is (847) 381-FOOD(3663)
The thin crust is GREAT but so is the Stuffed Pizza.
Try both!!

Great Thin Crust Pizza! written by Danno
Last visited this restaurant on March 02, 2005

I moved to Fox River Grove from Chicago. I could not find pizza like the old neighborhood until I found Primo. It turns out the owner, Dan Parisi is from Chicago too. He worked in a bunch of places in the city and finally opened his own place. The thin crust pizza is great. They are usually pretty busy and since they make everything when you order, they are not your 20 minute pizza place, but it's very good and worth the little extra time. Good pasta too.I also recommend the ribs. Treied them for the first time last night. Hickory smoked with a good sauce.
