My girlfriend and I visited this restaurant for our anniversary. We'd heard good things about it (more specifically the chef, who was professionally trained). The first thing we noticed was the lack of a hostess/maitre d', which I found slightly disconcerting. The seeming upscale entrance clashed with the casual approach to service, which I'm sure would be tolerable for a work-related meeting or lunch, but was not enjoyable for such a special occasion. When we finally got our food, we were satisfied with the results. It was prepared quite well, and the presentation was sufficient, but anyone who has been to a good restaurant would know that it was lacking that extra "oomph" that makes good food stand out. In the end, we found that the exorbitant price paid for the food was not justified by the taste. I probably would not eat here again. It is a good place for someone new to fine dining to get their feet wet, but after you have experienced a place that gets it right, you will feel slighted.

My experience at this restaurant was wonderful. I had smoked turkey in brioche dough which was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. I highly recommend the spinach salad, and the rolls served with dinner are amazing. Instead of a mint, they bring you a small square of a brownie. Amazing. The service was pretty well except we had to ask for our drinks to be refilled and they were a little slow to the task. The atmosphere and ambiance were lovely. The only thing detracting was the tables were very close together, so I was uncomfortable being so close to other parties. Overall, the experience was wonderful and I will definitely return.
