Best Taqueria in Bensenville written by

This is simply the best taqueria in this working class neighborhood that has no shortage of Hispanic dining competition.
Favorites are a scrumptious steak (carne asada) burrito. Get one with extra avacado (aguacate)for a treat. The pork cutlet sandwich (torta milenesa) is as good as any in Chicagoland. There is hearty tripe stew (menudo) on the weekends.
This place has a twist - it's open for breakfast, too. Try the Denver omelette (huevos rancheros) or steak and eggs - they are great.
There is seating for maybe 20 people - and the place is usually pretty busy at lunch and dinner time. A jukebox blares latin music and the TV is tuned Telemundo. There is waitress service at the tables and a brisk carryout trade. The staff may or may not speak English - but they are unfailingly pleasant and aim to please.
