I've been eating at Taffies since the 1990's. The food tastes great and the customer service is exceptional.

I used to work at taffies and let me tell you, if you saw the things going on in that resturant you would never eat there! I once saw the prep cook take a rotten side of beef from the cooler and tell the owner that the meat had gone bad and that he was goin to throw it away. The owner told him not to throw it away, but to just cut off the outside and serve the middle. The smell of the meat was enough to make you puke and yet they just covered it in gravy and said eat up! They treat there employees with total disrespect and the customers the same. If you have a problem with something and ask to speak with the owner, prepair to be insulted. He will tell you your complaint, whatever it may be, is totally untrue and tell you that if you don't like it, don't f***ing come back. Taffies is like one of those terrible diners you see on a movie and would never like to experience. Although the service is not bad and the prices are very reasonable. There is a reason behind the cheap prices. If you can get a chop steak or a turkey dinner with potato, veggie, and bread for under 5$. Stop and ask yourself how they can serve food this cheap? When you buy meat that expired in 2004 and it's 2007 and i saw this with my own eyes not long ago. You can sell a meal for almost nothing and still make a profit.

    Good food

Usually if you see a lot of older people eating you know the food is good. After all, they know where the best food is. Taffies caters to the "older" crowd, but offers a wide variety of healthy, home-cooked food. Everyday they have a different special that comes with their famous bread and whipped butter. The food is always fresh and you can always order breakfast if nothing intices your appetite. The prices are very reasonable. You can get a full course meal for around $5 - $6. The only downside to Taffies would be it's smoking section which nails you as you come into the store. I usually try and get seated as soon as possible to avoid the second-hand smoke.

Overall, I would rate Taffies a 9 out of 10. It's the type of food you can eat everyday and not get tired of due to their variety and freshness.
