Having been to this restaurant both in its pre-remodel and post-remodel days, having eaten off all three menus (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), and having experienced its Mexican and Greek influences as well as generic American fare, I feel confident to recommend it to just about anybody. Service is inconsistent, on weekdays, at late lunch and dinner time; breakfast service and weekend service is much better. Food-wise, I miss the old breakfast skillets they used to have; this said, however, they still make great spinach omelets, broccoli omelets, and chocolate chip pancakes. Sandwiches tend to be less than spectacular...though homemade soup is wunderbar. Their egg lemon is really good, as are their cream soups in general. Dinner-wise, my favorite thing is their orange roughy. I particularly like it without the lemon-butter sauce which is sometimes put atop it. The flesh is always so well done that no extra moisture is needed, and the light broiling adds enough supplemental flavor. Dining companions I have had, in the past, have also raved about the Greek Lasagne, Greek Chicken, and fried chicken. I didn't care for Chicken Parmagiana I had there, however. It was lackluster. On a high note: if you like good homemade salad dressing, particularly with garlic added to it, you will love their creamy garlic and bleu cheese dressings. Further, I have heard from my father that the rice pudding is great. As he knows rice pudding, I suspect it truly is. All in all, I am very pleased with the Silver Stallion. I would never hesitate to suggest it to friends on their way through town, nor would I turn down an invitation to go back again.
