I went to Buddies on a Wednesday night with a group of 10. The staff was very accommodating when we asked if we could push two tables together. I've always had good food at Buddies, and this time I ordered the Fritter Wrap, which was good as a healthier choice, but next time I would stick with the giant nachos! I also enjoy the free popcorn at Buddies. Buddies has enough TVs that we could watch the Michigan State basketball game from any seat in the house.
I would recommend Buddies Pub & Grill of Okemos to anyone who loves nachos, or who is just looking for a relaxed restaurant/sports bar to hang out with friends.
What more can I say than Buddies is fun and affordable. My wife and I enjoyed the food and live music on the bar side. The menu is very diverse, from steaks to nachos. If you are looking to avoid the overpriced franchise corporate places give Buddies Pub & Grill a try.
My family and I frequent Buddies whenever we are craving nachos. They have the best nachos and quesadillas of anywhere we have ever been! 6 of us can share, and still have leftovers! My husband and I were gone for 2 weeks for our honeymoon, and the day we got back, we had to go to Buddies to fix our craving! The booths are very spacious and the food is amazingly portioned! The waitress remembers us everytime we go back, and you feel right at home. Great choice for good food & fun!
Nothing spectacular, but the food is good, with a reasonable variety on the menu. I've never had any problems with the service. They have booths in a quiet section on one side of the restaurant, and games/TV and the bar on the other side.
" Also have a second location on Lake Lansing Road in East Lansing, MI... "
