Don't order the pork breakfast sausage!! written by anonymous

I ordered breakfast from this place on 2 separate occasions within 3 months. BIG mistake. The pancakes and eggs were great, but the breakfast sausage patties were clearly rotted even before they were cooked. Wish I'd remembered the cooked rotted pork incedent the first time around. Now the dinner menu is really good. Good steak tacos and great guacamoli. Way better than El Barrio, but neither place delivers (which is pathetic these days). If Romeoville ever gets a Mexican food joint that delivers, I'd be shocked. Anyways, great lunch/dinner food. The cooks could use some lessons on manners and their attitude probs, but in the bigger scheme off things, this place is ok.

Unlike the review from teident, I on the other hand enjoy going there when I have a craving for mexican food. I usually order a mexican dinner or tacos. When I go there, the restaurant is always maintained and the service and food is quick. I go in get my food, pay, and leave with in about 10-15 mins. It is bad at all. I would gladly return there. Matter a fact, i going there to pick up some food for my co workers there in a few mins.

Fastest Service/Great food written by ogrevampire

This is not your Friday night date place, however Ruby is FAST, efficient, Tasty and inexpensive. We always have our HOT, delicious food within seconds of sitting, and that is not an exageration. I have been eating there for almost 6 years. I have only had 1 problem in that time, and it was fixed immediately. There are some minor annoyances about getting chips and salsa once in a while, but the horshata (spelling rice water) is good, and its a good lunch. In fact We (IT office staff of 4) are going there for lunch today.

Fajitas take a few minutes extra but are HOT, and Yummy, and I am a BIG eater, and I cannot clear that plate.

They are open late, and have great food and prices, again it's not a fancy place, nor is there great ambience, but it is eficient, tasty, FAST and pleasant.

I went into Ruby's to get a burrito a while back. I don't remember the exact date. As I entered the noticed that the place did not look kept. I could not say that it was dirty, just not mantained. When I wanted to order I had to get the attention of the person behind the counter, as he was talking to someone else in the store. When I asked if they had horchata, he did not answer except with a small laugh and then handed me a cup.

My drive is about half a mile home, so it did not take long until I was sitting at my kitchen table digging in. When I started eating, I noticed that it was not hot. In fact as I got the the center, it was cold. It felt like the chicken was kept in a cooler and was not reheated properly before being put into the burrito. I did not feel comfortable eating the rest of the burrito, so I ended up throwing it away. I would have called, but do to the reaction of the person behind the counter, I felt that nothing would get done.

When I told my story to my brother, who used to live a block away from where I live now, he said that he ate there once and also did not have a good experience. I have tried a lot of different places and have to say that I will never eat there again, and will go out of my way to tell people about what happened to me.
