Where you should go if you like hearty, high-quality food. Try the shamrock chicken sandwich, desserts, fish 'n chips. All their food is great. Thumbs up.
We go to The Claddagh quite frequently, and the food and service is always wonderful. Though it is a bit more expensive than a lot of restaurants in the area, the food, portions, and excellent service certainly do make up for the extra expense. We love potato skins, and the Pots o' Gold are some of the best we've ever had. I also love the mixed green salad that comes with the potato skins. We've tried many of their offerings and have never been disappointed. If you want a more private and romantic dinner, ask if one of the rock-walled booths are available. Oh, and they have hard cider on tap, which makes my husband very happy.
I've been here many times for dinner or to have a drink at the bar. They have good food and a beer selection that is hard to find elsewhere, but their prices are a bit expensive. Service has generally been good, but the last time I was there it was horrible. I would recommend trying Claddagh at least once.
It's a good place to eat. The service is good, the menu is good. They thankfully added free valet parking so its not such a nightmare to navigate Eastwood Town Center.
They have a really good Shepherd's Pie, and the drink prices are reasonable enough for a place like this. The biggest problem is with how crowded it gets on the weekends, but if you can get in easily, its worth it.
The food was really great, service was also very nice. The environment was my favorite. If you like shepard's pie... I don't know if you'll ever get it better than here. It is located right off of 127 Lansing in the Eastwood Towne Center. What more could ya ask for?
I hate the long waits, the slick corporate faux-authentic Irish pub atmosphere, and the ticky-tacky faux-downtown Eastwood Towne Center.
But the steamed mussels are exquisite.
There seriously isn't a better Fish & Chips on the planet than Claddagh. Last summer I was in Great Britain and Ireland and STILL couldn't find ANYWHERE that matched up with Claddagh taste/quality wise. My 10 rating for the food is based solely on the fish alone -- the other stuff on the menu is only 7-8 quality. But that fish. It's just... amazing. I think I'm going there again tonight!
My husband and I have had nothing but good experiences at the Claddagh. We've gone by ourselves and with our 4 children and enjoyed the food and atmosphere every time. The only downside is the wait to be seated, a nice upside the last time we were there was the valet parking they offered, which made us decide to go there verses leaving EastTowne center in search of someplace to eat that was easier to find a parking place for. My favorite dish there is the Connamare Chicken.
" They have a great selection of beer and even better food ... "
