Restaurant Reviews of Quizinos Subs.

Carryout packaging needs work written by rturmel

For the first time yesterday I visited Quiznos and ordered a large Ultimate Italian Sub, which cost $9.99 plus tax and gives you double portions of meat and cheese. The employee provided great suggestions and was very helpful during the process. When the sub was completed it really did look like a masterpiece and I couldn't wait to get home and dig itno it. My drive was about 15 minutes and by the time I got home and unwrapped the sub, it quickly became almost undesirable. The first problem was unwrapping the sub, since they don't use any barrier on the top of the sub, their sub wrap paper was totally stuck to the cheese and I couldn't peel it off. After several minutes of picking away at it and literally tearing out some of the meat and cheese to get the paper off, I finally got to take a bite, another disappointment.... paper in my mouth! Also, the double cheese portion being folded together then cooled off after the ride made for a 1/4' thick layer of cold thick yuck! I had to reheat the sub to eat it and also to continue picking off the paper. I can say that the taste of the sub was good and I do suspect it would have been much better it I had eaten it in the store. I would suggest that Quiznos make 2 corrections to their process: 1) When piling on the double portions of meat and cheese, seperate the layers of cheese 2) use some type of barrier on the open side of the sub to prevent their wrap paper from sticking to the cheese! Unfortunately Quiznos doesn't seem to have a 'suggestion' area on their website, so I'm using this forum to detail my experience. Would I go back? yes Would I order take out again, no, not for that hefty price and problematic packaging. A product is only as good as it's delivery and they fail to deliver. They need to update their procedures to make this a more desirable product for take out.

Guess Which Quizinos???? written by Subway

Why do you advertise small chicken cabo's for $2.99 in the local paper and then you are charged $4.29? I asked the 16-18 year old girl , before placing my order for 2 sandwiches was the price $2.99 as advertised or $4.29 from the menu. She told me $2.99. When I went to pay, the other 16-18 year old girl at the register charged me $4.29 each sanwhich. Even though I had the actual paper to show her she basically said, "To Bad!" Maybe you shouldn't have two teenagers running a business on a Sat. night and you shouldn't make us guess where you can use the advertising specials. I left my paper there since I will now be going to Subway since I know the pricing upfront. I wonder how many people got ripped off that night? Word spreads fast!
