My girlfriend and I wanted a romantic dinner...quaint and quiet. What we got was the best meal I've ever had in Chicago, including Charlie Trotter's. Chef Danny is the best kept secret in this town that spends way too much time on quantity instead of quality. If I was charged with figuring out where I wanted my last meal to be....it would be Papillon.

good food. good service.good ambiance.great dining experience.please test crispy french scampi with young potatoe and red basil sauces.

Outstanding food and service in this tiny (maybe 10 tables) french restaurant hidden off Lincoln Ave. in downtown Skokie. The menu is limited with only a handful of entrees, but each done wonderfully.
