  The best lunch in Dayton

  Before I retired in 2008, I ate lunch every weekday at Evan's Cafe(and the Potage, it's former name)for over 10 years. I met clients, co-workers, friends, relatives and others there and all (except the fries and hamburger crowed)agreed it was the best lunch in town. The food is superb, healthful and the ambiance is cozy and friendly. I have often said: Why would anyone eat lunch(in Dayton) anywhere else?

  Excellent fresh made soups, salads and sandwiches. Different soups for different seasons using that seasons fresh vegetables with large potions. Love their salads with mandarin oranges. All the bread for their sandwiches in made fresh. Great coffee house atmosphere with local art on the walls. Eclectic furnishings with no two chairs alike.
