Complete Disaster! I would not recommend this vendor to anyone! We used Mariah's Restaurant for both the rehearsal dinner and the reception catering. We had made the reservations for our rehearsal dinner months in advance for 6pm, yet when we got there the room was not yet ready. We did not head to our room until 6:45. My husband's parents had to open up a tab at the bar to try and entertain the guests and the bill was outrageous! We were told the room could hold 60 people. We had 47; and we were cramped. We had a set menu; and they ran out of food that they knew we were going to order. The staff was grumpy and not friendly at all. There were 4 people to a table. My husband had to have his veal sent back. It was cold and tough. My friend sitting at the table with me did not receive her dinner until everyone was finished with dessert.
Now on to the reception... They brought the wrong napkins and called the day before. I told them it was unacceptable and that they needed to change them. They did not finish setting the table until 5:15pm. The reception started at 5pm; and they had over a day to do it. The only food we had was salad, rolls, and ravioli. Not difficult! The food was supposed to look exactly like you would have it in the restaurant. On the menu, the ravioli is all-you-can-eat. They gave each person 1-2 ravioli! When people asked for more, they coldly said "no". 3/4 of our guests went up for seconds. They ran out of salad and bread. We had 180 people. They said that they had enough food for 250 people!! The staff was terrible! Noone said congratulations, smiled, or even said "you're welcome" when I said "thank you". They said to come in the next day to worry about payment and such, yet they brought the bill to my mother when she was talking to guests and expected her to pay right then. They also messed up the total and were going to charge us more if we had not found the mistake. Then they threw away all of the left over ravioli that we had paid for and had planned on eating that week. I am thoroughly disgusted with this vendor. They were a huge stress on an already stressful day. They have done nothing to compensate us. I will never eat at this restaurant again, nor do I recommend it to anyone else. This restaurant had the opportunity to impress over 250 people with the rehearsal and reception and create new customers, yet they failed in even the smallest tasks and ticked everyone off to the point of not returning.

My experience at Mariah's was one of the best. My wife had the veal parmigiana, loved it. I had one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. I would rate Mariah's one of Springfield's top restaurants any day of the week. Some of the best food I've had in a long while, not a penny wasted.

Service was helpful, efficient, always kept our beverages full, and the food was hot and tasty when it arrived. I had the pasta carbonara, my husband had the stuffed pork chops and our friend had a steak--all were good. The crusted tilapia is also my favorite. I love the endless salad, great hot bread, and desserts are always a winner.

I got the Carry-out when I had ate the ffod.
It was so quick and you were in and out in a matter
of minutes. I loved and when we got the food home it tasted as if we were dining in the restuarant right then.
The food was so warm and DELICIOUS!!!!!!!

Excellent place to eat ! written by nmkirk

Mariah's has fast friendly service and excellent food. My Dad is in a wheelchair and the hostess actually came outside to open the door for us. Everyone is so friendly and they make your dining experience pleasant and relaxing. The building is beautiful and is very clean. I have been there several times since it opened a year ago and the food is OUTSTANDING! Anything you pick is prepared to perfection.
