Unreliable & deceiving written by lulesy

Trisha, owner of Princess & Co., asked for a $200 deposit for the cake platter used to serve our wedding cake. Immediately following the reception, the platter was returned to her. Numerous attempts to contact her were made. We went to go see her face-to-face and got numerous excuses as to why she could not provide us with the money right away. Weeks passed and eventually, Trisha said she would not give us the money back. We are currently in the process of filing a lawsuit against her and her company.

Stay away from this fraud written by abc123a

I am not part of the last five reviews and not vendictive, simply trying to help someone else avoid this bad company. There are great wedding cake and catering companies in Jacksonville and I work with the best, I'm sorry I work with Princess and Co. Look at the reviews and don't let Trish fool you. She will ask for deposits in cash so you have no way to stop payment if she doesn't return your deposit. She over charges for everything. Please do not use her company for a cake and certainly not to rent wedding supplies. Help us put this woman out of business so that she can not threaten to ruin one more event by saying she is going to sue you. Please stay away

RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, HORRIBLE CAKES, CON-ARTIST written by ARDARD111

Worst business experience I have ever had. The cake was horrible. People had to take it out of ther mouths. I know have 95% of the cake left over. The owner is unprofessional, shouts at customers and then expects an apology. She is truly a con-artist. AVOID HER AT ALL COSTS. She has taken over the name of the cake by bertha brown, but is not bertha brown and is a FRAUD. She will try to make you sign a contract for less money right then and there so you have no outs. She makes her deposit in full and non-refundable. AVOID since the owner is RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, HORRIBLE CAKE MAKER, AND CON-ARTIST.

Despite being arrested for fraud (google Patricia Khasbatova), Trish is still trying to ruin one of the most important days of the lives of Jacksonville, FL women. She is now trying to sell cakes under the name DREAM CAKES. Please do not be fooled! This is the same manipulative, dishonest woman!

I am untterly AMAZED that someone had a good experience with Trish. She is the most unprofessional, ridiculous person I have EVER come in contact with. Unfortunately for the lady that did have a good experience, Trish probably still has a trick up her sleeve; she is notorious for cashing deposit checks even if you return her items! There are plently of respectable bakeries in Jacksonville, so please use one of them and save yourself the stress of having to deal with TRISH!

I used Trish for my wedding. I thought she was awesome! The food was great. My family did say she was a little pushy but that was the only complaint I have from my experience with her. I thought she was very helpful and willing to help. She offered great prices also. Im sorry to those who had a bad experience...im glad I didnt read these or else I would have changed my mind on her. But I feel like she did a terrific job! I def. would recommend her and already have. She recently opened up another company too..not sure of the name. Just do your research and go from your gut feeling. You could have a horrible experience like the others or an amazing one like me. I personally thought her cake was just okay...not the best...but it was cheaper than my original cake lady. It was beautiful too...simple but beautiful. She also did our grooms cake which was EXCELLENT. She helped provide lots of decorations-we had it at Marineland and it was tropical, so she helped us out with decorating. She also provided platters for my mother to use for her homemade candy free of cost.

Trish, the owner, took a cash deposit and wrote a contract for me for a wedding cake. When the time came to pick out the decor, she tried to overcharge me for everything. I told her I only wanted what I could get for my original payment, she got angry- grabbed my contract and told me to get out. She called the police because I told her I wasn't leaving until I got my money or my contract back. She hit my friend and we had to file charges against her. She is totally unprofessional and has a horrible reputation. I wish I had known then what I know now.

The owner repeatedly tried to RUIN my WEDDING!! written by

My experience was so horrible that I cannot even begin to describe the details. PLEASE take my word and the words of other victims: Do NOT be fooled by this lady. She may appear to have your best interest in mind, but she will turn on you in a heartbeat and try to ruin your event with idle threats, outrageous monetary demands, countless lies, and SIMPLY unbelievably unprofessional behavior. Also, she mainly does cakes, but she will try to offer you other services like catering, flowers, ribbon, linens, wedding arches, vases, etc. Do NOT fall into any of these traps because she WILL take your money and run. Lastly, the previous owner of this business was Bertha Brown, whom was very well known for her work. (She is actually the reason I was referred to this company). But, do NOT think that this company is in any way held to the same standard that it was previously. PLEASE learn from all of our very unfortunate experiences, and do NOT patronize this company!
If you do not believe these reviews because of the review above, just check out the Better Business Bureau website. Search Cakes by Bertha Brown or Princess Cakes and Company and you will see that this company has 15 unresolved complaints. I can assure you that what I have posted really occurred and judging by what happened to me, I am positive that all these other cases happened as well.
