I had my son's FIRST birthday cake prepared by Sheila's Cakes and Specialty Treats. What a BIG mistake. I left my order with all details, assured these could be honored by Sheila's staff. When I picked up my cake, the structure was wrong, the designs were wrong, the writing was not done as promised and the colors were way off!! (I even left a picture with them!) Example: The colors of my cake were white and light blues. The cake I received was white, dark blue and turquoise. When I contacted Sheila about this, via email with my phone #, she refused to call me. She replied (via email) by trying to place blame on me. (I didn't ice the cake!) She would not take any ownership what so ever in fact that her bakery did not do as requested. I did have a friend help me fix the cake. Part of Sheila's reply to me was, "Perhaps your friend will prepare your cakes in the future and you can enjoy every minute of the birthday celebration." How caddy is that? I did reply to her once more but have yet to hear from her again. I didn't want anything from her, just wanted her to know how badly her staff messed up my cake. Not so much as an apology from Sheila! This is not how you do business. I would definately suggest using a more professional bakery for your future celebration needs!
