1703 is a small sophisticated restaurant that offers an elegant dining room and many different types of food at affordable prices (lunch prices vary around $10-15/plate). The restaurant has a vineyard feel to it and its tables are dressed nicely with white tablecloth. While the restaurant's ambiance is delightful, the layout was more open than I would have liked personally. Still it is quiet and suitable for a pleasurable dining experience. The waiting staff seemed professional, but I did not take any particular notice. The dishes are delicious and offer reasonable portions; at lunchtime, the restaurant offers about 10 delectable sandwich varieties, about 10 salad varieties, and a few entrees. The plate that I ordered tasted as though it was prepared using a unique combination of spices, like nothing I had tried before. I would recommend this restaurant as a nice place to have a casual lunch, although it is probably suitable for almost any other occasion as well. Just be sure to wear something nice (dress pants/skirt/collared shirt/blouse).
