I'm looking for someone who has visited Jack Gibbons restaurant when it was a "Speak Easy"...I would love to purchase any pictures that you might have taken of the inside/outside of it, it can be pictures of people enjoying the food, talking, standing around, anything of that time period that shows the restaurant in the background. We are looking for pictures to hang in there of folks that visited it back then.

Don't leave your car with the valet!!! written by Guardian

We went there on our first occasion about a year ago. It was so loud we couldn't have a conversation at our table. I recall the food being just okay. We found a parking spot right in front that night as someone was leaving. That turns out to have been our only luck with this restaurant.

We thought we would give them another try, maybe the first time was just a bad night for them. A parking spot out front was not available. I drove around toward the back parking lot. I saw a sign reading Valet parking ONLY. There was not a valet in sight. The drive around to the parking lot was tight. I started to park in a reasonable spot near to the restaurant. I had a valet come up to my car and tell me I had to leave the same way I came in, although he had it blocked with someone else'e car. I had to drive into the lot to turn around, when the valet again drove someone else's car aggressively around me and in a manner to intentionally intimidate me, blocked my car from the front causing me to have to put my car in reverse to try to exit the lot. I tried to spot him as I was exitting the lot, to ask why it was necessary for him to drive someone else's car like that. I did not see him. I only know I will NEVER go to that restaurant again, and NEVER recommend it to anyone. It also validated my distrust of valets. Hey, it's not their car.

Best Steak On The Planet Pt. 2 written by keljas

My dad has been taking me to Gibbons since I was a kid. And every year since that first time we went when he asks what I want to do when we get together to celebrate, I always want to go back. This place is absolutely amazing. As previously stated, completely beyond words. Somewhere everyone should go at least once in their lifetime.

For the best steak on the planet go to Jack Gibbons. Better than The Palm in NY. Better than Gene and Georgettis's in Chicago. Seared on the outside and then baked to keep in the mouth watering delicious steak flavor. Ahhhhhhhhhh. Beyond mere words. Family owned. Been there almost 100 years.
