I took a carry out 2 days back. Ordered 2 dishes around $11.00 each with tax the total came to $26.03 and i gave my card and told the guy to charge it. Next day while I was checking my account I noticed that there was a charge from HOTWOK for $31.23. Now I am not sure what went wrong it could be a mistake but I am still investigating this issue. Please make sure they charge you the correct amount.

I have been in this restaurant about five to six times hoping that the next waiter i get will have some kind of customer service. the only reason i kept going back was because the food was different its a mixture of indian and chinese food. but i am definetly going to stop going there untill they replace their waiters and hosts.

I really hadn't heard of Hot Wok Village before. I am a real chinese food lover and I found that their food was amazing. Altough I have not taste everything on their menu, I thought their Kung Pao Chicken was very good. The carry out service is pretty fast. I can call in and then pick the food up in say 10 minutes and the workers there are always nice to me and friendly.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Poor Service and Safety Issue written by

Hot Vok's food caters to the Indian Palate.
Their service is very Poor:- Long wait time outside and at the table because they are understaffed. Waiters are untrained and underpaid College Kids, they serve you drink but forget the straw, they take the order but forget to bring food at the table. This has happened lots of times but I have to go because of my spouse (As you know Indians are tolerant community).
The Belt Buckles of most of their High Chairs were broken.
Their Bathroom is disgusting.
Only good food does not make a great restaurant.
But Since they are a MONOPOLY (It is an Indian Chinese Restaurant) they can get by with it.
Worst of all they charge 15% grauity for a party of four (easy money !).

Indian style Chinese food written by

Hot Wok Village is not what you are expecting. It serves a style of food created when Chinese fled China into India during the Opium Wars (if I remember the blurb at the front of the menu correctly.) So the dishes are some of what you are familiar with, and a lot of new things I haven't seen anywhere else. There are a lot of vegetarian options (including vegetarian Won Ton soup) and a lot of spicy options (including Cabbage Toss which is now my favorite type of cole slaw!) on the menu. Unlike many Chinese menus, when Hot Wok puts two chilli peppers next to something in the menu, it is actually very spicy. The place is packed whenever we go, with large families contributing to a noisy, happy atmosphere. The decoration is unique, bringing the "village" theme throughout. Check out the large fish tanks and the grotto. If you are tired of cookie-cutter Chinese food, please try this place. If you love both Indian food and Chinese food, this is a great mix of the two styles.
