My companion and I stopped in on a cold, dreary, rainy afternoon after the lunch rush and ordered a chicken club and a reuben, with sides of potato salad and coleslaw, to go. The food was ready quickly and when we got home, were pleasantly surprised. The chicken club, with bacon and avocado, was outstanding. The potato salad was almost as good as mine, with just a smidge too much mustard. The cole slaw was great, but the red cabbage had bled out a little bit, resulting in an overall pinkish tint. I'm sure it had been properly stored and it tasted fresh, but the pink tint made it look like it had been sitting for a while. The reuben was delicious. Both sandwiches were generously sized. The food was great, the service very good, and the atomosphere was, well, . . . not the highlight. Perhaps not as urban eclectic as the food deserves. We will definately go back.
I love this restaurant! The food is always great, the environment is casual and the people who run the cafe are the nicest around. The owners take every step to ensure your happy and it shows! You can't find the portions of food and the fresh ingredients that 15th street cafe has just anywhere. It truly is a hidden treasure!
