About 1 or 2 times a month, my family and I drive well over an hour from the Quad Cities area to the Candlelight Inn. Chicken George and Jan Sauce are simply delicious, and have huge portions. My wife loves the Chicken and Ribs combo also. This is a great atmosphere, because the restuant is both family and formal. We love the semi circle booths, and we even ate near the bar one time and enjoyed watching NFL football. I have not had any service issues that I can remember, and honestly, my wife an I are cursed when it comes to getting poor service at restuarants.

This is my favorite place to eat. My sisters and I go there every Friday night for the $1.99 Margaritas and the wonderful food. It's a great way to relax after a long week. We have never had one complaint about it. The ambiance is great, the service is excellent; it's the best restaurant in the area!

this is a terrible restaurant. i ate there once and it made me sick. i ate the chicken george. my friend ate it and got food poisoning. we had to take him to the hospital, it was a mojor delima. i strongly suggest anybody NOT to eat there. yuk!!!!!!! i would not risk it!

(RockFalls) Candlelight Inn Restaurant


Ordered Nachos and told them twice that I wanted half chicken, half shredded or cut steak meat… NOT GROUND BEEF. Wouldn’t think that would be hard to understand especially I repeated this twice and asked if they understood what I meant.
Well I picked it up got home and sat down to watch my movie and eat… Opened my bag, pulled out the container and you guessed it they had it WRONG…. All gound beef no chicken… Picked it up through it in the garbage and went to the fridg.
Not going back…

Food is excellent, Steak is the worst. It is pretty dry. Service during the days from 12 to 5 is terrible. Waitresses don't really watch out for your needs. Especially refills on drinks. One in paticular has a very rude attitude. The atmoshpere in nice and comforting. The dim lights is a nice allturnitive on a night out.

been to this place many times on business, my wife and i were going to galena last saturday i told her to try chicken george it was great she wants to go back asap 2hr drive from elmhurst but well worth it for the chicken george,keep up the good work

visited the rock falls candletight on Monday, November 20. The sandwich I had was great. The onion rings were not done and tasted like they were done with oil that had had fish done in it. Also, my husband had bbq ribs and they were very tough. We have eaten at these restaurants before and never had bad meals. The one today, was awful.

as with most restaurants under the same ownership it just seems like certain ones just have better food. and the original location up town in sterling is the best. all of there food is good and i have never been dissapointed but they have the best chicken george i have ever had. it is even good left over and eaten cold.
