In response to Angels review, we ate at Canal Port and our service and food was great. The staff is not mean and they are very pleasant and helpful with talking about events in the area and are helpful with directions. You must have gone when you were having a bad day so things didn't seem to go your way. All restaurants have new employees and have a learning period they go thru to learn the menu and the routine of the restaurant. I would recommend Canal Port to anyone. It is a great place to be for Burgoo, Mardi Gras and St Patricks.

Would have posted no stars if it had been possible. Staff is mean, don't know the menu, and food is sub-par. Don't believe locals who seem to love this place because out-of-towners get treated terribly, IMHO. I don't usually post reviews, but this place was so bad (and the hostess was so rude) that I felt I had to. If you are reading this, please know, I usually give places the benefit of the doubt, but this place truly doesn't deserve it. Go Somewhere Else. Anywhere.

After visiting Grizzy Jack's resort we stopped there and let me tell you the service absolutely sucked but the food made up for it we ordered the potato skins (soooo good), the monterrey chicken sandwich and garlic wings. We have never tasted such good food and we live in Chicago. I am not kidding we will drive the 1 hour and a half just to eat there. This is our family's new favorite restaurant!!
