I was born and raised in Wichita. I ate almost daily at El Patio (and their great-big Bean Burritos), Connie's, Hour Glass and then when my long-time friend Don went into his onw place, I ate there and it was great. When my late wife went back to Wichita in the mid 1990's, I had her to get Don to send me back some good and real Mexican Food. I haven't found such here in Tennessee. So Don loaded them up with food to bring back to me. If you ever see him, tell him thanks again for me. I trucked all over this Country and never found such good Mexican Foods as was always found inn Wictita. All I need now is to figure out how to make them so I can stay stuffed. We lived in Wichita for 30 years and found La Chinitas the best Mexican food. We have been gone for 12 years but always eat there when we go back to visit. We appreciate that when Don & Marta retired, they passed on their recipies. Wish we could find something as good around here.

I grew up in Wichita and moved to Texas 10 years ago. We always go to La Chinita when we visit Wichita for the La Chinita Special. We LOVE it and we can't find anything like it here. I would LOVE to have the recipe.Even though it's not "authentic" mexican, it's still really good.
" I think their prices are quite reasonable... "
