Brown Bag is a great place to grab a lunch. Their dessert pies are delicious and their soups are the best in town. I have never been one for deli-meat, so this isn't my favorite place for their selection, as they are mainly a gourmet sandwhich shop, but I am a sucker for a good bowl of chili. What is best about Brown Bag is their atmosphere. The architecture of the shop, the layout of the building, and its place in the historic downtown district of Monticello make it a great place for a casual lunch, or a sensual date. A definite must dine at least once if you live in or around Monticello IL.
