On my way to the restaurant I didn't know what to
expect. I was in shocked when I walked in, the ambiance was incredible, it was
so clean and everybody made me feel like I have known them forever and I was at
home. Not only that, everything I tried was very tasteful and mouthwatering, I
crave it everyday. After trying it out it was an experience I will never
forget. Now I am thier at least twice a week.

Celebrating my husband 40th birthday at L'Athar was the best gift that I could give him for this special occasion.
Every one is so friendly and gives the royal treatment.
The ambiance is outstanding, food is out of this world.
we had a great time for over 3 hours.I definatly recomend this restaurant nd I can't wait to go back again.

I used to always feel bad when someone asks me to take him or her to Middle eastern Or Lebanese restaurant to try our food, cause there was no good, clean and fancy Lebanese restaurant, but after I visited L'Athar restaurant, and felt like am in one of the Lebanese Fine Greatest restaurants, I always recomended and was proud to invite any of my friends to show them, how the services should be, the tasty food is, the clean restaurants should be, the attitude of the business owners should be, all of that was at L'Athar. Try it once and you will know what am talking about, Its the best Lebanese, Middle Eastern Restaurant in the Chicago and suburban area that you will ever visit.

Athar is one of the best establishments in the western suburbs! The owners take a personal interest in everyones needs and this gives a very friendly and warm atmosphere. I have been there several times and continue to go back time and time again. The bar is always well stocked, the service is very good and even when it's busy. The owners help out all the time. The free warm pita and humus is always a delightful treat and the food is served with great presentation. The live entertainment (belly dancers) gives the place a great ambiance and the prices are very reasonable. The place has become better than ever because the owners care so much about their customers and make changes to better suit their growing customer base! Eat at Athar's see it for yourself, you will walk away with an enjoyable experience!

Great time, I am glad I had my holiday party at L'athar Restaurant.My employees and business associate loved it
and enjoyed being there.They could not stop talking about the great time they had at the party.
I highl yrecommend this restaurant for any business occasion. Excelent food, great atmosphere
very friendly people.

I won't be going back to Athar. Though I had a Saturday night reservation, the hostess seemed startled when I arrived for my table. While being seated she told us that they were expecting a large group in 1 1/2 hours. After we ordered, we were told that we would have to leave by 9:00 P.M. Basically, theye were going to kick us out! This would be bad enough but the service was slow and awfull, we weren't even served until almost 8:45!! Plus, they tried to stiff my friend by charging the more expensive price for a bottle of house wine. They didn't have some of the items ordered (how can they not have filet?) and gave less than appealing substitutes. Total of 4 shrimp in the shrimp & pasta dish. They were quite rude when I told them I was displeased that I was not informed when making my reservation that we would have to leave by 9:00. This was not a pleasant dining experience and I was embarassed that I selected it.
