Even with Chicago Style Pizza just 115 miles away, Angelo's is by far the best pizza and the standard for me for all pizza. I grew up in Sterling and the pizza and spagetti were a staple food in my house. The bread, my god the bread, is outstanding. They now bottle and sell the spagetti sauce and I have my mom send it to me when I feel the need for really good comfort food.

Long drive for a PIZZA written by anonymous

We drive from Monroe,Wi to Rock Falls (60 miles )just for PIZZA and BURGERS. I was Born and raised in Rock Falls and Moved to Monroe in 1999 and will ALWAYS go back for the GREAT FOOD. My other Family members have moved to Oklahoma and I take Angelo's to them when I go visit them. Nothing or Nobody will EVER beat out the Rock Falls Angelo's.

I have been eating at Angelo's for forty years and the food has always remained the best Italian food around. I lived in Rockford for years and would drive to Rock Falls for pizza. Nothing compares to Angelo's. If they would give me their recipe I would open a franchise in Rockford and it would be packed constantly.

i wish i still lived in illinois. like others have wrote i also lived in rockford and would make a 60 mile trip back to rockfalls to eat there. the one in rockfalls has far better food than the sterling location. as a child we used to get spaghetti and bread there every weekend. its the best. and there italian beef and italian hamburgers are the best. they cover them with the same sauce they use on the spaghetti and it is delicious. even better to eat the sandwiches there because they serve them open face and put the sauce on both halves. and there pizza is the best i have ever had bar none. its just something about there crust and sauce that makes it so delicious. when i moved away and would go back to eat there it was heaven. i would truly have paid just to sit in the parking lot and smell that delicious aroma. i dont know how any of the other pizza places around that area even stay in business.

Top Three Best Italian Restaurants written by smithbkr

The Food is Very GOOD! I have had several dishes and all were to perfection. I agree with the last review, regarding the bread. HUM,HUM! I do not live in the area, however anytime I visit the Sterling/Rockfalls area I just have to eat the famous Angelo's atlease once. I use to Live in Houston and I had my boyfriends family ship it to me.

When I was pregnant with my first child, I craved Angelo's spaghetti sauce so badly that my family froze some and shipped it overnight to Florida packed in dry ice. I grew up in the Sterling/Rock Falls area and when I go home for a visit, Angelo's is on my must eat list. Excellent food!
