We used to live near the resturant and ate there often. They always had great food and great service. We moved out of the area about 10 years ago but always stop in to eat when we are in the area. They still have the same great food and prices from back when we lived nearby.
The BEST HOMEMADE Spinach Pie, and very generous portions. Spent 3 hrs (a ladies lunch, offpeak hours, of course)-perfect Saganaki, huge Greek salad-with an awesome creamy dressing, great Chicken Lemon Rice soup-so many extras with the Spinach Pie, I had to take the rest home. The waitress was very friendly and accomadating - serving the next course when requested, and the busser attentively kept our water glasses full, and cleared our plates, as needed. Now that I found this little gem, it is my favorite for a quick carryout-but this will be the PLACE for my next ladies lunch.
Our experience was disappointing! 2 adults and 2 children. 2 sandwiches under the warmer for more than 5 minutes while the french toast and veal parmasan were prepared. When brought to our servers attention, she removed them and had them redone. Turns out they put them back on the grill to heat up and drop the fries back into the fryer. When returned, we questioned the process and it was explained as that. My husband returned half of a sandwich to the cooks and asked if they would even eat something that looked like that. Another waitress made a point to let us know that she was not ours and made quite a scene while walking to her customers a few tables away. Our lady came following behind, while reaching in front of me to remove the plate from my daughter, didn't excuse herself or apologize for anything other than handing out what the cooks put out for her to serve. She returned with a third sandwich and fresh fries and we expressed that would not attend their establishment again. The young lady, who clearly is not our waitress, proceded to inform us how rude we were while talking loudly to my husband from behind my shoulder as our waitress stood at the edge of our table. I felt a little cornered to where i couldn't even get up to put my coat on, before i was getting frustrated as to not say anything. I said that we would just take it home to finish it there, the other waitress went to the cooks and continued to talk about us (while we are still in the building within ear shot). It was clear the owner or a manager were not present. I took my children outside while my husband settled the bill.
We will NOT eat there again. We've eaten there once maybe twice a month since October. We've only had one other experience with an order, reconciled immediately.
At approximately $40 a month for a family of four, times 12, roughly $500 a year they have just lost. If we visited twice a month it would be $1000. After a child's sporting event, say we had some family or friends with us, the bill would be sizably larger. It's only math.
