Excellent food with a classic diner atmosphere. The coffee is decent and the staff is obviously treated well by the owner (who is on site cooking). I highly recommend the potatoes and the cherry-pecan pancake(s). Get there early on the weekends and sign in up front. Community experience for all.
At the name implies, everything served is "real food", not pre-made pre-heated. Breakfast times are always busy, especially weekends, so be prepared to wait (and a note, they will not seat you until your entire party has arrived). That being said, everything is good. The portions are large, and everything tastes homemade. Prices are reasonable--$5 to $8 for your meal. The staff is always friendly.
This place has the best food int the town of grand raoids if you're looking for a nice place to eat after church, and perfect for occasions from birthday parties to office meetings! If you ask me its really good, (then again I have been in Africa for the past two years,) but still this place is great!
