The best italian food I have had in quite a long while. I felt like it was home cooked just for me, and in fact, it may have been! The lasagna is fabulous, the spagetti great, the gnochi is mmmm and the ...well, I could go on and on. I can't think of one time I have eaten here and not really had great food. Add the old fashioned jukebox, and friendly atmosphere, and ...well, what else could anyone want?
Definately a place to visit.

This place was like going into a time warp to 1968. I felt like I was in a Sopranos episode eating here! My roman rigatoni with meat sauce was awesome and my meatballs were home made. The only other place you can get food home made is to make it yourself or pay a lot more and go to Andiamo restaurant. This place reminded me of the movie "The Big Night". The owner came and sat with us and made us feel quite welcome. Don't order the full plate of lasagna unless you can eat for three people. My wife ate about a third of it and was totally full and she is fat and Italian. It's HUGE! I'll be back here again. Sort of out of the way, but keep driving north of Michigan Avenue and you'll find it.
