I took my husband to El Burrito Loco for the first time last Friday night. I had been before, but not in a while and only for appetizers and beer with friends. We were seated immediately, and the restaurant was very busy, but we then waited over 10 minutes before any server came to our table. When they did, it was just to drop off our complimentary chips and salsa. While we waited another 10 minutes for someone to come and take our order, I found a long black hair in my salsa. Yuck. After another 10 minutes, our drinks arrived, then 25 minutes later our enchildas came out - cold. Never had the server check back with us, never saw a manager. Very disappointing. Sad thing is, food would have actually been good had it been warm, but we won't be back.
I would like to say that the dinners we had at EL BURRITO LOCO were definitely delicious. I really was not happy to see a $6 charge for the two baskets of chips and salsa for which we did not ask. I figured since we did not ask for them, that like at many Mexican restaurants that they were complimentary !!!!
$9.75 for one Long Island Iced tea was quite pricey too.
The food prices themselves, as well as the food was quite impressive. Good enough to go back ? --- undecided.

Bubba, your nuts! My husband and I decided to try this place out in fruitport, with the thought it would be like taco bell. We were not expecting much, but to our surprise, with every bite I kept making um!!! noises. I couldn't believe we discovered this authentic mexican food. Seriously it puts all mexican restaurants in GR to shame. I ordered the Quesadilla Loca (seasoned chicken, onions, mushrooms, wrapped in a soft tortilla and smotherered in cheese) Oh so good. You must give it a try! It is a chain, but a mexican family owned chain, so it keeps it real.
Went to eat at the Fruitport, Michigan location. I ordered a Steak Mexican or something like that What I got was bad piece of meat smotherd in tomato sauce out of a can!!!. No seasoning or attention to detail just sauce out of a can.
There are other resturants that take pride and actually cook good Mexican or Tex-Mex Food
We were surprised to see a large sit-down restaurant at the Grandville El Burrito Loco. Great atmosphere, delicious food, reasonable prices and service with a smile. We ordered a burrito (it was huge) and the #24 combination (burrito, chili relleno, one taco. Best Mexican food we've had in a long time. We will tell everyone and definately go back.
Yum yum. Your dinner meal is served in huge portions, be prepared to ask for a box. Try something other than a burrito; there are lots of choices on the menu. Complimentary chips and salsa are very good. Great selection of beer from all of the America's!! Service is fast and friendly.
I like going to non-chain restaurants. This one has great food and the servers are always accomdating to families with young kids. My favorites are the soft tacos and burritos. The atmosphere is festive but not too loud.
It also seems like a great place to hang out with friends. The price is reasonable too.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The beers are large, the complimentary chips and salsa are great. The menu rivals that of Maggie’s Kitchen and Little Mexico in terms of authenticity and variety, yet one need not travel downtown to enjoy it. The décor inside is kind of cheesy and clashes somewhat (I believe it used to be a contemporary themed Italian restaurant), but this is easily over looked. This is by far the best Mexican joint around for anyone in the Rockford / Forrest Hills area.
