I went to Chen's the other night after reading reviews here was was very pleased. The food was good and cheap. Their dinner combos provide a lot of food for the price (i got the general tso's chicken). The building itself is perfectly round, which i would imagine makes for an interesting dining experience. The restaurant was compeltely empty when i got there, although it was an hour before they closed. The hostess was gabbing on the phone the entire time i was there, and had to get someone from the kitchen to take my order. But, i don't really judge my chinese takeout based on the service. I would go back, although it is a little bit out of the way. Better than most of the other chinese places i've eaten at in Lansing.

I have eaten off of Chen's lunch menu (comparible to dinner menu) for the last 5yrs. It's inexpensive and very very delicious. The egg foo young is good but General TSOs Chicken is the anchor to a great menu. The family run buisness is prompt in their delivery and always smiling.

I have only been to Chen's for taking carryout with me to work but I have found both their food and service to be consistently good. It might be nice if their spicey dishes were a little spicier but that is from my personal taste.

Their prices seem decent and their food is always ready when they say it will be for pickup.

Best Chinese food in Lansing! written by foodcritical

Chens has, by far, the best Chinese food in Lansing. The crab rangoons are awesome and everything I have ordered there is excellent. The service is wonderful and anytime I have had a problem they corrected it. The owner / manager Jason, is extremely personable and friendly and almost always on site and sometimes personally waits on the guests.

All the times I have eaten here the food was excellent, dinning in or take-out. Large portions of food and friendly service. I highly recommend this restaurant. They also deliever for orders of $10.00 or more and they are quick.
When I worked on that end of town I ate lunch there 2 to 3 times a week and never had a bad meal and the taste was always consistant.
