And, believe me, I have tried many! The food is excellent, prices are very reasonable and the staff is nice. I have been going there for years and I love it!
This restaurant has been in business for over 10 years, and I'm certain they're doing something right to remain strong and striving. The food is always consistent and the service very friendly. The palce is always clean and they keep mainting the "A" Grade. I recommend Table For Two very highly. Once you try it you get hooked!
My friend and I eat here every now and again. It's a great little place to chat and enjoy some deliscious food. I highly recommend the kung prik pow. It's a wonderful shrimp dish. I have tried a few others, but the curry is a little too "Americanized" for me. I like it spicier. The staff is great, and the place is like stepping into a quiet little haven.
I have eaten here a few times, and each time the servers explain that ANY and ALL waiters service every table. If diners are not attentive enough to realize this, and simply cannot ask a waiter for something, then why complain? Having had been in the food service industry in my younger years I realize that people get busy and orders get backed up from time to time. I am patient enough to not upset my dinning experience with trivial things. If my service is so poor that I feel it was due to a lack of professional service, my tip reflects that.
I have gone to Table for Two for the past five years and have invited all of my friends! The food is beautifully plated and a light. Although the service is quite interesting... When you need a waiter, you can pull anyone aside to help and they come with a smile! They dont tell you that at first... so beware... you may think your waiter got lost!! Instead they have all the waiters help anyone that needs it!! I personally think it is fantastic! I have yet to have a bad experience there!
Coming from a person who hates asian food......I love this place. The food was great as well as the service they make you feel like family and when you decide to take out food its the same service when you call it in there very nice and helpful. The portions are very generous and when you try there famous salad dressing (Lemon Dressing)you will keep coming back for more. I always take some back home with me, love it... so I highy recommend Table For Two.
The first time i went to table for two it was on a first date 6 years ago. I feel in love with the place, the food, and my date. And continued since then to come to this restaurant at least once or twice a week. The service is horrible. They have the worse waiters ever. Never attentive. And you never know which waiter is yours. And if there is someone serving you it ends up changing over and over within the hour that your there. I love the food. But hate the service.
I've patronized a number of times. The food is very good but the service ranges from bad to terrible. The last time I went my companion ordered soda and we were told the machine wasn't working -- we were offered water; however, at the next table, the waiter offered bottled soda(?) Not a big deal, but just shows how inconsistent the wait staff is. The seating is cramped but livable. Although every time I leave I say I won't return, I do go back.
My wife and I have eaten here before and the experience was pretty good. When last we went the food and beverage service has deteriorated. My wife's shrimp dish was flavorful and quite good. My "East Asian Steak," however, was truly awful. It was a cheap cut of beef, most probably round steak. When served it was dead cold. It was lacking in any discernible flavor or aroma and was as tough as the sole of my boot ($15.95!) The wine glasses are now smaller and were only 2/3 full when served. When asked, the waiter said that was the standard pour. I will never go back.
I have dined here several times and the food is always okay. But, it is not Thai food! It is very Americanized and not very authentic at all. Also, the service has gotten worse over the years. I am not sure how it is now, sicne I haven't dined here on over a year. After too many experiences of "just okay" food, I will never go back. There are much better (and cheaper) Thai places in Riveside than this.
Being fairly uninformed about Thai cuisine, I cannot say how authentic this place is. However, the food was quite fresh, the sauces light, and the servers friendly!
I had the shrimp and spinach. The only thing I would say against it was it was a little salty. Otherwise, I really enjoyed it. My 4-year-old son usually will not eat anything in a restaurant, but he really enjoyed the noodles he got.
I've gone a couple of times now and my opinion hasn't changed.
I was surprised Table for 2 had received such great reviews. The menus of Thai restaurants in Columbus Ohio are much more extensive and authentic. The seafood entree in foil tasted pretty good but contained a significant amount of imitation crab!!!! The wine selection was great and well priced, the biggest redeeming factor. The service was quick and friendly. Of all the restaurants I could have visited while on a trip here I wish I would have chosen another.
" This place has good food - just not good Thai food... "
