Hands down, the best, most authentic Pakistani food in San Fran. The ambience is down-right down-town Karachi Pakistan: tons of noise, aromatic cooking smoke (which stays in your clothes), and a dingy spot on Jones.
My favorites were (and continue to be) the plain naan (flat bread cooked in a "thuva" oven), Beef seikh-kabaabs, and chicken korma (curry). For a veggie dish, try the chic-pea korma and saag-aloo (spinach and potato).
Wash it down with a cold Coke which you serve yourself from the fridge in the back. Afterward, try some of the free, hot milk tea to wash it all down.
The price is cheap, but so is the ambiance. Who cares! The food is simply amazing. Be warned, lines form before dinner on Friday and Saturday.
