Some dishes good, others not so good

The soup with the sizzling rice was excellent, but the other entrees were all disappointing. The general chicken was dry with the outer coating mushy. The rainbow shrimp also left much to be desired with shrimp that was overcooked (seemingly boiled) and a bit stringy. Finally, the peking ribs were prepared in a way I have never seen before. They appeared to be previously oven roasted and then chopped up and mixed with a sweet and sour sauce. They were dry, tough, and barely edible. Maybe some of their other entrees are better and I was just unlucky with the 3 we selected. However, the service was quite attentive and surprisingly good. The dining room was also very spacious and quite comfortable.

    Rose Garden is our Favorite!

Rose Garden has been our favorite neighborhood Chinese place for years. They have the most delicious Orange Chicken and Brocolli Beef! General Chicken, Won Ton soup, potstickers, and the Crab Cheese Wonton have also been extra yummy. They make their Wontons and Potstickers on location by hand, they are truely delicious. The restaurant is family owned, relaxing and clean. There is asian themed music playing in the background, tables and booths with an updated asian decor. It is kid friendly, and is nice for a large family group. The waitresses are not supper smiley or intrusive, and are effecient. I felt okay about taking friends out to dinner here because it is a desent place with good food. It is not a crumbly looking "hole in the wall" type place. It is hard to tell from the outside what it looks like inside because of the tinted windows, so don't let that stop you. If you want sweet and sour, go to Fat's, it's the best there...if you want the best prawns, go to the place straight across the street, but for schwezan (is that how you spell it??) type food, Rose Garden is the best! And don't forget the Orange Chicken!
