Nice place to eat, but overal average food. The place is too big for my tastes, there's another coney island down the street with better specials and a much smaller, simpiler atmosphere. They have great salads and chicken pita sandwiches, but unfortunately everything else is just par (or less). Worth a try, though.

Enjoyed the setting the food and the service,did not enjoy being told I was a drunk and a cheapskate when I questioned the bill. Because the bill was hand written in server language and I did not understand the breakdown of items I asked for clarification, and to keep a long story short that is when things got ugly, I still do not understand what happened but it was quite embarrasing and I feel, uncalled for. As a customer I may not be perfect but I am not a drunk and a cheapskate. I am sorry this happened as I did like the people and the dining experience, but I will not return under any circumstance and I would urge others not to question their bill as it is obviously personal issue with the owners.

It is a very laid back and family orrented restaurant, the fodd and service are great! All of the food is very good, and the macaroni and cheese is to die for. The owner is a very compassionate man and loves what he does, so much that he has three restaurants in Michigan.

George, and Jim at the Taylor location know how to serve up a Coney. I've been a customer for over 50 years of the family owned business. Started in Detroit, then Taylor, Livonia and Dearborn it is well worth the trip.
Never had a bad meal there, Really Reasonable Prices, High Quality and Generous Portions, and whether you're an old timer or a new one, they treat you like family.
