July 23 at the Pegasus, Greek town Detroit was the WORST experience of my Greek town dining of over 20 years!! Look I KNOW Greek cuisine, I speak Greek, I cook Greek, I am GREEK! Trust me, I was fooled by a waiter who definitely was NOT GREEK, claiming he was,(I forgave him that figuring he would have enough sense not to push BAD food on us!
I was wrong & spent close to $15.00 on a plate of only 3 tablespoons of DRIED out lamb meat stuck to lamb neck bones, and a couple of meat lamb ribs!!! This waiter who should be ashamed of himself & the restaurant management who should hide their heads pushed this on me as "the best most exquisite lamb dish in the place. I had originally asked for lamb shank, which I fear may have been worse from the horrified reactions of the other patrons who loudly complained to each other when their plates of lamb shank arrived! Being Greek I was too embarrassed to say a word, we just bagged out junk for the dogs, AND THEY refused it when we came home!
All I feel I can do now is try to warn others to do what SHOULD have done, go across the street for FAR better prepared Greek food at New Hellas or Cypress!
" Go across the street to any of the others and you will be pleasantly surprised... "
