This buffet is cheap. My favorite thing there is the Orange Chicken! It's by far it's the best I've tried! There is a wide variety of excellent food there! MMM!
I don't suggest the Panda Buffet as a place to take your fiance to propose, but hey, that's because it's a buffet. It is, however, a great place to go out with some friends (after 7:00pm, see comments below) and just have some good conversation. The food is great, the price is very nice, and you leave as full as you want. At dinner they have a small but nice selection of seafood (shrimp and some shellfish) and I suggest the Chicken in Black Bean Sauce. Don't know if that's actually Chinese in nature, but it tastes good. The General Tso's Chicken is also very good, but it lacks some heat. And if you're looking for the best Broccoli Beef in town, look no further than Panda Buffet. Of course, they also have the regulars, the Chow Mein, the soups, the other chicken, etc. And every once in a while you have a change in menu that keeps the selection interesting.
As far as service, again: Hey, it's a buffet. That's not to say it's unfriendly, but you are on your own after you get in the door.
Only problem that I ever have is when you get large families in there that don't control their very young kids, and you have to listen to screaming, crying and general obnoxious noise, and so it can take on the feel around 5:00pm of being a Chuck E. Cheese's, but every time I've gone after about 7:00 it's been just fine, and that's when I prefer to go anyway.
This is, by far, my wife's favorite restaurant, and I like it very much as well.
NOTE REGARDING AMBIANCE: It varies depending on the time of the night. I gave it a five, but it's been as high as an eight and as low as a two.
